The series of photographs have been taken with a light installation named ‘Insight Lamp’. It is not only a designed ready-to-use floor lamp but also an art installation. It reflects my experience of knowing there will not be the perfect thing in this world and the path full of thorns to self-accepting.
The light shade has a plain white exterior that feels smooth to touch which refers to perfection and has an interior that is glazed with random brush strokes that refers to the imperfection. When the light is on, the audience could see the reflects of the interior clearly from the brass plate that informs them even someone could look perfect outside, they will still have their weakness, fear and the imperfect side that they might want to hide.
